Going after Grants: Ready, Set, Go!

Do you have what it takes to be successful in grant-seeking?

In today’s funding environment, it takes more than a  great idea and a good proposal. Funders have fewer resources and more demand than ever.  At the same time, more nonprofits are applying for foundation and government funding than ever before.

Funders want to ensure their funds are invested with nonprofits that have the best chance to achieve what they are proposing – nonprofits with the organizational capacity and operational expertise to succeed. Most importantly, they look for organizations that demonstrate a thorough and thoughtful process in planning programs and the proposals to fund them.

In this workshop, participants will learn how to determine if their organization is truly ready to apply for grants, get practical tools necessary for developing a convincing proposal, and receive one-on-one advice from experienced and successful proposal writing professional, Suzanne Linebarger.

  • Learn what qualities funders look for in organizations when making funding decisions
  • Assess your organization’s readiness to pursue and receive grants
  • Begin an action plan to ensure your organization has its “ducks in a row”
  • Learn how to use a logic model to develop a solution-focused program
  • Begin the outline for superior proposals
  • Receive professional review and critique of your organizational readiness plan of action, logic model, and program budget
  • Review other participants’ work, provide feedback during the session and pick up additional ideas for your own proposal

Who should attend:
